My favourite place: my town!
I live in San Gimignano, a village between Siena and Florence. Near San Gimignano there are other towns like Poggibonsi, Colle val d'Elsa and Certaldo.
It is a medieval walled village in the Tuscan country, from where we can have a very beautiful view.
San Gimignano is famous for its towers, in fact there are thirteen towers. Another important monument is the "Collegiata" of Santa Maria Assunta, an interesting church in the centre. Here there aren’t a lot of sport facilities: there some football grounds, a small swimming pool (open only during the Summer) and some gyms, that have been restored recently. There are a lot of shops but they only sell things for tourists and there is a supermarket called "Coop".
In winter in San Gimignano there aren't a lot of entertainments, but in summer there's a Cinema festival, where we can see the most interesting films of the year.
I think San Gimignano is a beautiful place, but there aren't many entertainments or other facilities for young people, that have to go to Poggibonsi (or other towns) to see films or to go shopping. I would recommend it to someone who’s my same age, because I like living in San Gimignano.
