Here is a nice story about a school trip to Venice.

On November 26th 2003 my classroom, with two other classes, went to Venice, an Italian city, in Veneto, a region in the North. Venice is on the Adriatic Sea. We left the school at 6,45 a.m.. But I took the coach in Poggibonsi. The coach arrived in Poggibonsi at 7,05a.m., and then it went to Venice. During the trip, the bus stopped in a Service Area, near Modena on A1. During the trip we played cards and listened to music. After a stop of 15 minutes, we left the Area for Venice. We arrived at Venice at 11,10a.m.. When we arrived in Venice, we took the ferry in Tronchetto, a ferry-station, that brought us near San Marco Square. After that, we went in the Ducal Palace, the palace where the Doge, who was the president of the Marine Republic of Venice, lived many years ago. In the Ducal Palace there was also a room where the politicians of the Republic went for meeting. Inside the Palace was also the Senate, in which, laws were made. Then same students had a packet lunch and other went to McDonald’s to eat junk food. After lunch we walked to Grassi Palace. In Grassi Palace there was an exhibition of the Pharaohs of the ancient Egypt. The exhibition was not very interesting ‘cause there were a lot of objects, but there were only a tomb and there were no mummies. We also saw a film. After we visited all the Palace, we came back, by ferry, to Tronchetto, and we took the coach, by which we went home. Also during the return trip, the bus stopped in a Service Area. We arrived home at 11,20 p.m.
