It's only football...
It's only football...

Since 1999,the year of the la test Italian success in Europe, Italian teams have had good performances in Europeans Cups; however this seems the good year to win again, in fact, for the first time, Italy has four teams in the second group of Champions League.

Inter and Milan are first in their groups; Juventus is second and Rome, in crisis, is fourth with 0 points in two matches. In the meantime S.S. Lazio, with societary problems, continues her walk in UEFA Cup.

Italian championship.

Serie A and B, are dominated by northern teams, like Internazionale FC, Ac Milan, Juventus FC and Chievo Verona in Serie A; Triestina, Livorno, Siena and Sampdoria in Serie B. On the contrary, southern teams like Reggina, Napoli, Salernitana are now in relegation zone.

Financial crisis.

Also in Italy we are suffering football financial crisis; the emblem of this is the case of Ac Fiorentina, failed and now in C2, the fourth series, with the name of “Florentia Viola”. Despite this fact it has a fantastic public and every Sunday 25000 people go to the stadium to support it.

Violence

Unfortunately this year is characterized by violence in the stadiums, which is also provoked by rivalry between the supporters of teams; ways to stop violence in stadium are being looked for.
