Music or what?
Music or what?

After the wave of Christmas songs and carols that followed the season of winter the music returns to normal. Christmas is over and thesongs are to be put away for next year. Things are going back to normal. The radio starts to play the latest music once again. So what do Swedish teenagers listen to?

Hopefully you have already guessed that music is a big part of
the day, especially radio with the latest stars. The music is probably not that different in comparison with other countries, since most of the music comes from abroad. Added to this there are lots of Swedish groups that are famous, not only in Sweden but also in other countries.

Swedish music export

Swedish music has a broad history abroad. The music export has
always been quite big, especially around the 1970’s. To mention a couple of examples: ABBA, Roxette, Ace of Base, Robyn, and many more. Maybe some of these don’t appeal to you, but once they were very famous and some still are, mostly in the U.S.

Not easy

Music is not an easy thing, since there’s so much but also so little to write about. It’s easier to look deeper in to different kinds of music and research more about specific groups. Hope you at least learned a few things you did not know of before!
