Pacifists, be careful.As you say, war is a tragedy for the humankind, and must be avoided, when it’s possible.
Unfortunately, when a merciless dictator takes the UN and the entire world for a ride, lyng about weapons of mass destruction and oppressing his people, war isn’t only necessary, it’s almost a blessing. You can say that in this war many civilians are dying, but what about the 200.000 Saddam’s victims since 1991?? You can say that President George W.Bush fights this war for the oil only, but his country depends on oil coming from abroad only for the 18%, thanks to tha Nuclear Power and national oil fields. It is very sad that some people in Italy said: <Neither with Bush, nor with Saddam>; ok, you can hate Bush, we’re in a democracy and you can say whatever you want, but you can’t compare a dictator with an elected leader!!! Furthermore, you should watch on TV the smile of freed Iraqi people: it’s the same smile of our grandparents in 1945.
