Personality

I don’t want to be platitudinous starting immediately to say that appearance isn’t important because it’s not true at all. When we first see someone walking on the street what strikes us is how nice he or she looks, how he/she walks and also what he/she is wearing. We can’t be struck by his/her personality because it’s impossible!! We don’t know nothing but his/her appearance.

It’s after that temper begins to be essential. When I meet new people and it’s time to say “Hello, I’m Ester. Nice to meet you.” and start a conversation I’m usually impressed by the way he/her talks, by what he/she said, by his/her likableness and often by the emotions that he/she makes me feel. I’m a very critical observer, only a word, a glance, a smile will make me think if you reflect the qualities which I look for in a person. And you will soon be labelled as a cold, boring person or as an amusing, interesting person. Well, my “labels” aren’t so resolutely, but they frequently work right. However, sometimes it happens what I hate and like more that is the MISTAKE and it could be a tragedy or something like a revelation. I deeply prefer the “revelation” because of two main reasons: first of all it makes me think how often we can be stopped by prejudices and how I mustn’t listen to them, then it makes me feel over the moon to have found a person that is so nice, so sweet, so amusing in a way that I would have never thought it could be.
By the way, I believe we will never be able say that we know completely a friend, even if he/she one of our best-friends, because people have a lot of secrets which they never tell and because people change thanks to experience… so we will never stop to find new qualities or flaws in the people that pass us by.
