"The Haka", of the All Blacks

Rugby is a very violent sport, because there is a real contact between the players; in fact the injuries are frequent.

Rugby was born in England, and started hundreds of years ago at a school soccer match. One of the players found just kicking the ball was too boring so he picked up the ball and ran with it. All his friend joined it and so started the game of rugby.
We love rugby for many reasons: one is for the few rules of the game, in fact during the match they have to take the ball over a line, called touch down, to score seven points,or you can do three points if you kick the ball in the opponent’s goal. In Italy we can see six national teams in a tournament called “The six nations”: these nations are Italy, New Zeland, Scotland, Wales, France and England.
England won the last championship beating New Zeland in the final match.
New Zeland is famous because before the match they do a dance called “The Haka” to scare the opponent team. One of the best known rugby players is an Englishman, Jonny Wilkinson, who has recently been awarded by the English Queen because he has been the best player during the tournament.
