Winter sports in Sweden include skiing, dog team sleighing and snow mobile driving, which may be interspersed with winter golf, jig-fishing through a hole in the ice, or a trip on long-distance skates or cross-country skis.

The fame of the most spectacular building in Sweden, the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi, Lapland, has spread throughout the world. Every spring, the hotel melts away, to be replaced each autumn by a brand new building sculpted from tons of snow and ice.
