Blood and Kidnapping

Eleverna i årskurs 7 har jobbat med tema "Lag och rätt". Strandaren kommer att publicera ett urval av de texter som eleverna har producerat under engelskalektionerna.

Denna berättelse är författad av Sofia Palmqvist.

It was a cold day, even though it was August and the sun should have heated up the town. It was a very sunny day as a matter of fact, but the warmth didn’t seem to reach the ground that day.

Will walked down the street where he lived. When he reached his huge house, by far the biggest in the neighbourhood, he saw the slightly off-white door was opened. He closed the door behind him, and called out for his little sister, whom he lived with. “Gigi, you do know that you shouldn’t leave the door open, don’t you?” When he didn’t get an answer, he walked upstairs to see if she was hiding from him. “Gigi, you can’t hide from me forever!” he called out again. The only answer he got was a slight breeze coming from her room.

Will opened the door, only to find her bedroom in a complete mess. Her furniture laid spread around on the floor, some broken, and the window was opened. In the very middle of the room, was a pool of blood.

Li knocked at the door of her best friend Gigi’s house. A few moments later, a tall man with dark brown, almost black, hair whom she recognised as Gigi’s brother Will, opened the door. “Gigi’s not home,” he mumbled. Li gave him a questioning look, and he continued. “She’s … she’s gone. As in not here, kidnapped, I would say.”

Li gaped. Without a word, she shoved him aside and went straight up, where she knew Gigi’s room was located. Her eyes wandered over the mess, as something white caught her attention. She picked it up, saw that there was a note. The note read: So, Will, old friend. You might wonder where Gigi is. Well, the only way to find out is giving me a million, and she’ll be all yours. G.W.

“Will! You got to see this!”

The expensive car made Li feel uncomfortable, it even smelled money. After she showed Will the note, he had practically dragged her down to his car, and drove away. Now they were somewhere outside the town, heading east, as far as she could tell.

The car stopped and Will stepped out of it. Li followed him out only a few steps behind him. He knocked on the door of the little red cottage, nearly invisible behind the lush green vegetation. A man, nearly as tall as Will with dirty blonde hair opened the door. A look of recognition flew over the man’s, whom Li presumed to be G.W.’s, face, just for a few seconds, before Will punched him in the face, leaving the man unconscious on his doorstep.

Will stepped over him, walking inside the house, and Li followed him. Both of them began to look for Gigi in the cottage, and after a few minutes of searching, Will found his little sister on the second floor in a hidden room, after he found a handle behind a bright yellow carpet hanging on the wall. She sat on the floor, facing him with closed eyes.

“Go away,” she muttered. Will smiled.

“Oh really, sister dear?” With remarkable speed, Gigi threw herself into his arms, tears streaming down her cheeks. Will just stroked her hair, and all of them knew, including Li, who was watching them silently with a smile playing on her face, knew that now, it was all over.
