Young in Europe - eTwinning project “Gheorghe Lazăr” National CollegeHello from “Gheorghe Lazăr” National College, Sibiu, Romania. Our school- “Gheorghe Lazăr” National College- is situated in the centre of Sibiu, Romania. It bears the name of a famous Transylvanian Romanian scholar, Gheorghe Lazăr, who was the founder of the first Romanian language school (in Bucharest, the capital city). Almost one thousand students attend our school- 34 classes. Our students’ ages range from 11 to 15 (middle school or lower secondary school), while our high school students are between 15 and 19 years old. They study a variety of subjects like: Romanian, Mathematics, foreign languages- English, German, French, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Art, PE, Geography, History, etc. The motto of our school is ‘aeque animo’, which is both a testimony and an urge to all the teachers and students here- be it present or former. We are all trying to work together for our students to be and become good citizens of the world.
