My typical day

A boy from Venturina in Tuscany, Italy 2024-01-25

This is Venturina.
This is Venturina.

Hi, this is the typical day of a boy who lives in Venturina and attends middle school. We get up around 7.15am. For breakfast we can choose to eat milk and biscuits, a toast, a cup of tea, cereals with milk, a yoghurt, a brioche or a whipped egg. A bowl of milk and coffee is also typical of Italian breakfast, we usually have it with some biscuits. However, CAPPUCCINO is a must!

Then we go to school on foot, by bus or our parents can drive us. School starts at 8.10am.
The first break is from 9.50 to 10, the second from 11.40 to 11.50. We leave school at 1.30pm. Two or three days a week we have an afternoon lesson; we can choose whether to have lunch at the canteen or go out and come back for the afternon lesson which lasts from 2.30pm to 4.40pm. Those who attend the musical course play an instrument in the afternoon. We study Italian, Geography, History, Mathematics, Science, English, French, Art, Technology, Music, Physical Education and Religion.

When we are not at school, in the afternoon, we do our homework then we do sport. Some choose to play tennis, football, basketball or rugby; some prefer going swimming, having classical and modern dance lessons, music lessons or drama, but meeting our friends and walking our dogs are also our favourite free time activities. In the evening we generally have dinner around 7.30/8.30pm. We usually eat meat or fish and vegetables, pasta or a soup, fruit. Then we watch a film or play games together with our family if we don’t have to study! ... . After that we go to bed around 11.
