New year decorating traditions in Turkey

We sometimes make small ornaments for decoration ourselves like socks, handmade flowers etc. and decorate our windows by writing ‘welcome 2024, bye 2023’ and paint stars, hearts and some stuff like that with artificial snow. We decorate our tree with colourful leds and put a big shiny star on the top. We put our presents under our tree and wait untill 12 a.m. to open them. We also decorate our dinner table with candles and our special new year dinner set.

Outside decoratings: We also decorate our streets too for example we decorte our trees with colorful lightings and ornaments. In shoping centers we always have big christmas trees with lots of ornaments and big star on the top. We draw little christmas trees with artificial snow on our apartment doors.
